WORKING TOGETHER
North East Derbyshire District Council has appointed Sustainable Building Services (UK) Ltd to offer energy efficiency improvements, such as insulation and solar panels, to households that meet eligibility requirements.
If your household is privately owned (by you or by a private landlord) and is on low income, getting means-tested benefits or living in a certain postcode area, your property may be eligible for this fully-funded scheme. It is delivered with support from the UK Government as part of the national Warm Homes: Local Grant initiative.

Insulating your walls and loft prevents heat from escaping out of your home, which means you’ll need less energy to heat your property and so reduce your usage.
No matter how your walls are built, or if you currently have loft insulation, we can check and advise to see if they can be improved with cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation and/or loft insulation.

Energy Generating Measures
With solar panels you can generate energy for your home which can reduce the amount of energy needed from the grid. Where you have a surplus of energy, you may be able to sell energy back to the grid.
Battery storage, when installed with solar panels, also allows you to store excess energy generated during the day to use at night.
