Warm Homes: Local Grant
WORKING TOGETHER
North East Derbyshire District Council has appointed Sustainable Building Services (UK) Ltd to offer energy efficiency improvements, such as insulation and solar panels, to households that meet eligibility requirements.
If your household is privately owned (by you or by a private landlord) and is on low income, getting means-tested benefits or living in a certain postcode area, your property may be eligible for this fully-funded scheme. It is delivered with support from the UK Government as part of the national Warm Homes: Local Grant initiative.
In addition, your property also needs to have an energy rating (EPC Band) of D,E,F or G - to support this, we will check any active EPC and undertake further technical reviews to determine EPC eligibility and its validity.

Insulating your walls and loft prevents heat from escaping out of your home, which means you'll nedd less energy to heat your property and so reduce your energy use and costs.
No matter how your walls are built, or if you currently have loft insulation, we can check and advise to see if they can be improved with measures such as Cavity Wall Insulation, External Wall Insulation and/or Loft Insulation.

RENEWABLE AND CLEAN HEATING
ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS
Solar Panels are a great way of lowering your energy bills through generation of your own energy, reducing the amount of energy your home needs from the grid. Where you have a surplus of energy, you be may able to also sell this back to the grid too, further lowering your bills.
Incorporating Battery Storage, whe installed with Solar Panels, will also allow you to store excess energy generated during the day to use at other times, such as overnight.
We can also check your property's suitability for replacement (non-gas) heating systems, such as Air Source Heat Pumps and High Heat Retention Storage Heaters, click below to find out more about these measures.
